About: | Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to wealthy parents. Her ambition was always to become an actress. After modeling for a while, she made her debut on Broadway in 1949. She then moved to California to work in motion pictures. After several small but prominent parts, she was cast in Rear Window, which made her a star. She won the Best Actress Oscar for Country Girl. However, after she met and married Prince Rainier III of Monaco, she stopped acting. On September 14, 1982, Grace was killed in a car accident in Monaco. She was just 52 years old.
